The short version: we try to know as little about you as we can while still shipping a working product. To run on the App Store and Google Play, our apps use a small set of standard services — crash reporting, analytics, and ad networks — that collect limited data. We don't sell your data and we don't combine what we collect with data brokers.
Our apps and websites are operated by Syness Studios LLC, a Colorado limited liability company.

Local data on your device. Your puzzle progress, settings, and statistics live on your device. We don't see them unless you turn on a sync option.
Cloud sync (when offered). Some of our apps may offer optional sync. Depending on the app, this may be backed by Apple iCloud, your Google account, or a Syness account. The specifics will be disclosed in-app at the time you opt in, and this policy will be updated to reflect them.
Account information (if you create a Syness account). Email address, a hashed password, and the data you choose to sync.
Diagnostic and crash data. When the app crashes or hits an error, we receive technical information — device model, OS version, app version, and a crash trace — so we can fix bugs.
Usage analytics. Aggregated usage data — which screens are opened, completion rates, retention metrics — used to improve the apps. We do not use analytics to identify individual users.
Game Center / Google Play Games data. If you sign in to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, those services share a player identifier and (optionally) a display name with us so we can show leaderboards and achievements. Apple's and Google's policies govern that data.
Purchase information. When you buy something or start a subscription, Apple or Google handle the payment. We receive a transaction receipt — we never see your card details.
Advertising data (in apps that show ads). Ad networks may receive a resettable advertising identifier (Apple IDFA or Google AAID), coarse location derived from your IP, and basic device information to serve and measure ads. See Section 4.
Contact data. If you email us, we keep what you wrote and your email address so we can reply.
To ship our apps we rely on a small set of service categories. Each provider in each category is bound by its own privacy policy, and we choose providers that limit data collection to what's needed to deliver the service.
If you'd like to know which specific providers we currently use, email help@syness.io and we'll tell you.
Some of our apps include advertising. To serve and measure ads, ad networks may use a resettable advertising identifier and limited device data.
On iOS, you'll see Apple's "Allow App to Track" prompt the first time it's relevant. If you decline, we and our ad partners will not use the IDFA or perform cross-app tracking. You can change your decision at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads in Settings → Google → Ads.
We use Apple's definition of "tracking": linking activity from our apps with third-party data for targeted advertising or measurement. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with data brokers.
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple or Google. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in:
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies. Pricing, billing period, and trial terms are disclosed in the app before purchase.
Our apps are intended for a general audience (ages 13 and up) and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact help@syness.io and we will delete it.
For users under 16 in the EEA and UK, we rely on Apple's and Google's age-gating and parental controls.
Wherever you live, you can ask us:
If you live in the EEA, UK, California, Colorado, or another US state with comprehensive privacy laws (Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and others), you have these rights by law (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, CPA, etc.). Everyone else has them because we extend them by policy.
Email help@syness.io and we'll respond within 30 days. We will not retaliate or charge you for exercising these rights.
California residents: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
You can delete your account and associated data at any time. For details on how to do so please see Account Deletion.
Retention. We keep account data while your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion. Crash and analytics data is retained for up to 90 days in identifiable form and then aggregated. Transaction and tax records are kept for seven years to comply with US tax law.
Security. Passwords are salted and hashed. Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest is encrypted by our hosting providers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach occurs, we'll notify affected users promptly and as required by law.
Where data is stored. Our apps are operated from the United States. If you use them from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page. For material changes, we'll notify users in-app or by email if you have an account on file.
